About The Event
I danced by myself since health issues prevented me from organizing a local event or getting to one.
I am rising for justice for all those whose tales of abuse have been ignored and discounted.
I was molested backstage as a college freshman, but my abuser was never even confronted, since he had a lead role and, "the show must go on..." Two years later
he was arrested for making child pornography.
We must LISTEN to those who dare to speak up after they have been abused and act against the perpetrators in order to prevent future abuse.
One Billion Rising gives me hope for the future of humanity.
Hooray for all who are rising!
