"Rise for Revolution" and join the Alberta Council of Women's Shelters at One Billion Rising #YEG over the noon hour Edmonton City Centre Mall on February 13th. Come together and show your solidarity for women in Edmonton, women in Alberta and women all over the world. The One Billion Rising campaign is a "necessary escalation in our global efforts to end the violence" in light of the terrible statistic that one in three women will be raped or beaten in her lifetime.
Dancing is defiance. It is joyous and raging. It is contagious and free and beyond corporate or state control.
And we are only just beginning to dance. Join us.
