Theresa "Tree" Robyn Walsh (BFA, BEd, & MEd Candidate) has been teaching and facilitating for over 20 years in schools, summer camps, community centres, and studios in Canada and the United States. As a strong advocate for collaborative, arts based, experiential, democratic and outdoor education, much of her work is focused on developing community in arts and educational contexts, and creating consent based learning environments that promote inspiration and creative engagement, instead of obligation. As a Community Engaged Art for Social Change facilitator, she cares most about helping people, kids and adults alike, to connect with their deepest values and passions, and to learn how to make positive changes in their lives and the lives of those around them, in order to help make the world a better place.
"Nonviolence does not seek to defeat or humiliate the opponent but to win friendship and understanding... The aftermath of nonviolence is the creation of the beloved community," Martin Luther King Jr.
