LEARN THE DANCE, Drumming and Testimonials. One in three women in the world will be raped or beaten in her lifetime. During the month of February, One Billion Rising events raise awareness about violence to women through worldwide participation of dance, arts, sharing, testimonials and music and is a call to survivors and their allies to break the silence and rise in any way you feel best represents the releasing of your story. Guest speakers Susanne Bersbach and Lisa Starbird will present testimonials from men in San Quentin State Prison who learned the one billion rising dance in 2014, and apologized for their part in contributing to pain and suffering, which created unexpected healings'. Join us from 6:15-7:15 to learn the One Billion Rising Dance. Testimonials will start at 7:15.
