One Billion Rising Taos 2017

About The Event

Join us in Taos for One Billion Rising on V-Day - Tuesday, February 14. We will meet at Kit Carson Park at 3:30 pm to dance to "Break the Chain." Then we will march to Taos Plaza at 4:00 pm to dance again. You can dance, drum, march, carry a sign or just support the movement with your presence. Be part of the community rising against violence. Rise! Disrupt! Connect!

About The Organization

Community Against Violence

Community Against Violence offers a 24-hour confidential crisis hotline (575.758.9888) for people who have, or are, experiencing domestic & sexual violence. If you or someone you love needs help, call us. All services are free & confidential.

We provide legal & medical advocacy services, counseling & support groups, children’s programs, community prevention and outreach programs, and are able to provide information & resources for those in need. CAV also has on-site an emergency shelter for adults and children, and offers short & long-term transitional housing programs.
