About The Event
February could probably the most intense month of the realizations. Why are there only 28 days? Why is Cupid shooting people?? ?????
While many of us will be celebrating love and affection this month, not everyone has the same luck. 3 out of 4 Americans know someone who is or has been a victim of Domestic Violence; that means over 220,000,000 of us are connected to someone affected by it.
For this reason, we're collaborating with local organizations & talent this month to curate a creative show to raise awareness about domestic violence. We'll be supporting La Casa de las Madres, a local organization which provides emergency shelter, advocacy and support services to women, teens, and children exposed to and at risk of abuse. In doing so, we'll also be supporting their 1000 Voices Strong Campaign and the One Billion Rising Revolution. Concepts of domestic violence committed by society will also be explored to support Black History Month. See pinned posts below for more information.
