Dance Revolution: ONE BILLION RISING 2026

Mostar is once again joining the global One Billion Rising campaign – One Billion Rising against violence against women. Through symbolic dance, a public gathering, and messages of solidarity, we raise our voices together against all forms of violence against women, girls, and young girls, while showing support for survivors.
The event is organized by the Center for Development and Education HERA Mostar, with the support of the Youth Council of the City of Mostar, the Citizens’ Initiative Mostar, the Association of Psychologists of Herzegovina, the Association Novi pogled, and photographer Daniela Antičić.
Mostar dance clubs are preparing an excellent performance: FLASH, ZRINJSKI, ERIGO-D, MO-STARS, B-DANCE, and the MOSTAR MAJORETTES.
We invite all citizens to join us and show that Mostar stands together in the fight against violence.
The campaign is held within the global V-Day movement, which uses art, dance, and activism around the world to raise awareness of gender-based violence and the need for change.
One Billion Rising reminds us that one in three women worldwide has experienced some form of violence, which is why it is important for communities to publicly and loudly show solidarity.
