About The Event
Join us again this year at the State Office Building Atrium on V-Day 2014 from 12:00 Noon-1:00 pm as we collectively RAISE our voices, MOVE our bodies , RISE to end violence against women, and IMAGINE living in a more joyful and peaceful world! We'll have music from the Juneau Pride Chorus, performance and drumming/dancing from the Yees Ku Oo Dancers of Juneau, dancing to Break the Chain, spoken word performance, inspiring speakers, and lots of dancing. Local organizations will be there to share their resources.
UAS will also be holding a One Billion Rising for Justice event from 2:15 p.m.-3:15 p.m.!
Contact 723-6612 for information on where you can join us for free dance classes in anticipation of V-Day! If you can't join us, rise up and dance where you are!

Alaska Council on Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault
The Planning Committee for V-Day 2014 is made up of women and men from many local organizations, including: AWARE, CCTHITA, Northern Light United Church, Juneau Pride Chorus, ANS Camp 70, Juneau's Pathways to Prevent Violence, UAS, and the Council on Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault.
