About The Event
On the 14th of February, one billion people worldwide will rise, dance and act against the violation of women. The University of York will be a part of the second global movement, following from the success of February 14th last year, when communities across 207 countries joined together to rise for women everywhere.
We'll be bringing together dancers, performers, student societies, women's networks, DJs and more from across York, and raising money for IDAS - York's domestic violence shelter.
We have aimed to create a fun, relaxed and inspiring atmosphere in which there is something for everyone - from undergraduates to academics, staff, friends, locals and everyone in between. Kineza will be DJing throughout the afternoon so we can dance in celebration of the women in our lives!
