ONE IN THREE WOMEN ON THE PLANET WILL BE RAPED OR BEATEN IN HER LIFETIME. THAT IS ONE BILLION WOMEN.
LET'S GIVE THEM A VOICE. TOGETHER.
THIS YEAR, ON 14 FEBRUARY 2014 WE ARE CALLING ON WOMEN AND MEN EVERYWHERE TO HARNESS THEIR POWER AND IMAGINATION TO RISE FOR JUSTICE.
The 14th of Febuary, it's time for One Billion Rising events all over the world. Even in Lund we will join the battle against violence, rape and injustice. Therefore, we will arrange a flashmob before moving on to a showing a documentary movie and a discussion about the issue.
Programme of the event:
15.30 Meet-up at Palaestra Sal 105 to prepare for the flashmob.
Then we go together to Stortorget.
16.00 We arrive at Stortorget and start with the flashmob.
16.30 (circa) We march together through the city and back to Palaestra
17.00 Screening of Documentary Movie (will be announced later), fika and discussion.
This year's OBR event in Lund will focus on the topic of rape, justice for rape victims as well as the highly debated new law proposal called "Samtyckeslagen".
