About The Event
Join WE:ARE and The Active Wellbeing Society to RISE this February as we join the One Billion Rising movement once again for a flash mob in Birmingham city centre! Our 2023 event was a real hit and we're looking to welcome more folks to the day this time!
Led by a dance instructor, you can either follow the Break The Chain dance routine or freestyle your own moves. Just join us to come together to make a stand against violence against ALL women and ALL Girls.
* Come dressed ready to move and in footwear that will be safe to dance in as the ground may be uneven. Consider bringing layers if its cold, and keep an eye on our social media channels as if there is adverse weather we make changes or cancel the event.
* You may wish you bring a drink of water with you.
* All genders, ages, abilities and folks of all backgrounds are welcome to join us in this RISING. Make the dance your own, in your own way, to your own ability and comfort level.
* The event will be photographed and live-streamed on our social media pages. Come and find us and let us know if you don't want to be on camera and we will respect this by keeping you out of shot and/or editing you out of published media.
