About The Event
One Billion Rising is a worldwide campagne to end violence against women* and girls*. In over 200 countries and also in many cities in Germany people are coming together to strike, rise and dance to the song 'Break the Chain'.
1 in 3 women* across the planet will be beaten or raped other way during her lifetime.
With the world population at 7 billion, this adds up to more than ONE BILLION women* and girls* - an incomprehensible numbre.
At 14th February we invite all women* – and men* to rise, dance and demand to end this violence. We show the world our united power and our global solidarity across all borders.
Be a part of it and show the world what ONE BILLION looks like.
