About The Event
Who doesn't love a good dance party? But have you ever had a dance party on your lunch break? Well, you're in luck because we are hosting exactly that. A CITY WIDE dance party to raise awareness to the fact that 1 in 3 women will be the victim of violence in her lifetime, totaling ONE BILLION women and girls. So this Valentine's Day, plan to join us on the lawn of the Bessie Smith Cultural Center (inside the Bessie if it's raining) between 11am and 1pm. Enjoy lunch from one of our local food trucks, and DANCE! We have a list of dynamite local singers signed on to perform mini-sets. Join the party. Be the movement.
About The Organization
Partnership for Families, Children and Adults
Empowering People. Building Communities. That's the Partnership for Families, Children and Adults' mission, and we've been doing exactly that for over 138 years. Partnership is the oldest and largest social service agency in the area, serving counties in Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama. Last year, we served over 45,000 people through programs within five centers of service: Crisis, Elder, Youth, Deaf, Family Strengthening. Of our 20 programs, two include the only domestic violence shelter and rape crisis center in our area, in addition to a 24/7 crisis hotline. We are a United Way member agency. www.partnershipfca.com
