About The Event
The Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) between Department of Education - National Capital Region (DepEd-NCR) and the Alliance of Concerned Teachers – National Capital Region Union (ACT NCR UNION) states that:
ARTICLE XI PROMOTING GENDER EQUALITY AMONG TEACHERS
Section 1. GENDER AWARENESS AND RELATED PROGRAMS. DepEd-NCR, Through the Division Offices, and ACT-NCR UNION shall jointly plan and conduct seminars for all teaching personnel to promote their better understanding and awareness of gender issues in the following laws:
a. Magna Carta of Women
b. Reproductive Health Law
c. Violence Against Women and Children
d. Solo Parents Act
e. Gender Awareness and Development
That is why this context, we launch this activity to encourage active participation of women-teachers, members and supporter of CPESTF-ACT NCR Union. Around 100 target participants are expected to participate, mainly CPESTF officers and board of directors, the Faculty club presidents/Officers/members, School Gender and Development Focal Persons and representatives, Parents and Students from 50 Elementary and Secondary Schools in Caloocan City (North).

The CALOOCAN PUBLIC ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY TEACHERS FEDERATION Inc. serves as the local affiliate of the ACT-NCR Union, recognized by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) “as the sole and exclusive negotiating unit” that negotiates on behalf of the public school teachers of the Department of Education-National Capital Region.
