"ЕДИН МИЛИАРД СЕ ИЗПРАВЯТ :: РЕВОЛЮЦИЯ - БЪЛГАРИЯ | ONE BILLION RISING :: REVOLUTION - BULGARIA" - Bulgaria is rising in 2015 with launching a major national media campaign, in which the Society for Justice Foundation, Theater 199 "Valentin Stoichev, the New Bulgarian University (NBU) and the Bulgarian National Television (BNT) partnered to produce special television campaign videos involving prominent Bulgarian women cultural and political figures rising together to end violence against women and girls. Among them are: the Mayor of Sofia, Ms Yordanka Fandakova, the Member of the European Parliament, Ms Mariya Gabriel, the original cast of the "Vagina Monologues" at Theater 199 - Tsvetana Maneva, Snezhina Petrova and Vyara Kolarova. The television campaign videos will be shown several times a day on the Bulgarian National Television. The campaign "One Billion Rising :: Revolution - Bulgaria" is supported by more than 40 leading Bulgarian women’s rights, human rights and humanitarian organizations and activists in Sofia and elsewhere in the country.
On 14 February 2015 Bulgarian activists in Sofia, Varna and other cities will dance "Brake the Chain". The media campaign will continue all through February and until 8 March 2015, when "One Billion Rising - Bulgaria" will co-organize with other partners the Bulgarian event "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes", in which men will walk through the streets of Sofia wearing high-heel shoes to campaign to end violence against women.
Основни партньори на кампанията в България са Фондация „Общество за справедливост”, Театър 199 „Валентин Стойчев” и Нов Български Университет. Кампанията “Един Милиард се Изправят - България” е подкрепена от повече от 40 водещи български женски, правозащитни и хуманитарни организации, а също и активисти от София и други градове из страната.
През 2015г. Българската национална телевизия се присъединява към кампанията като медиен партньор, със създаването на представителни клипове и популяризация на световната кауза, с призива: „Изправям се срещу насилието над жени!”. В телевизионните клипове се включиха известни български лица от изкуството, медиите, политиката, държавните институции и правозащитата. Сред тях са: Г-жа Йорданка Фандъкова, Кмет на София; Евродепутат Мария Габриел, актрисите от "Монолози за Вагината" в Театър 199 - Цветана Манева, Снежина Петрова и Вяра Коларова.
На 14 Февруари 2015 активисти в София, Варна и други градове из страната ще танцуват танца на кампанията "Да Строшим Оковите". Телевизионните клипове на кампанията ще се излъчват всеки ден по няколко пъти по ефира на Българската Национална Телевизия и медийната кампания ще продължи през целия Февруари и до 8 Март. В този ден, "Един Милиард се Изправят - България" ще се включи като съорганизатори на българското събитие "Извърви Километър в Нейните Обувки", в което мъже ще преминат по улиците на София на висок ток, за да спре насилието над жени.

This rising is part of "ЕДИН МИЛИАРД СЕ ИЗПРАВЯТ - БЪЛГАРИЯ | ONE BILLION RISING BULGARIA" and is organized by the Society for Justice Foundation – Bulgaria, the Bulgarian National Television (BNT), Theatre 199 "Valentin Stoichev" and the New Bulgarian University (NBU) with the support of the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee, Animus Association, the Bulgarian Red Cross, the Council of Refugee Women, the Bulgarian Gender Research Foundation, MoveBG and the Bulgarian Centre of Women in Technology (BCWT), Foundation "Resource Centre Bilitis", the Alliance for Defence Against Gender-based Violence, the Bulgarian National Commission for Combating Human Trafficking, Activist38, Theater "Tsvete" and other leading Bulgarian women’s rights, human rights and humanitarian organizations. Събитието е част от българската инициатива „ ЕДИН МИЛИАРД СЕ ИЗПРАВЯТ - БЪЛГАРИЯ :: ONE BILLION RISING BULGARIA“ и е организирано от Фондация „Общество за справедливост“ съвместно с Българска Национална Телевизия (БНТ), Театър 199 "Валентин Стойчев" и Нов Български Университет (НБУ). About The Organizer
Mariana Katzarova
Mariana Katzarova has been involved with V-Day since 2000, when she helped bring the “Vagina Monologues” to Bulgaria, to be performed for the first time at Theater 199 in Sofia. In 2001, Mariana organized the first V-Day in Bulgaria, which brought together in Sofia women activists from all Balkan countries, as well as Eve Ensler, who came to support the play and the Bulgarian activists. In 2014, Mariana (Society for Justice Foundation) organized the event "Justice for Women in Bulgaria" - One Billion Rising Bulgaria in partnership with Theater 199 "Valentin Stoichev" and the New Bulgarian University, which was supported by more than 40 leading Bulgarian human rights, women's rights and humanitarian organizations and activists in Sofia and other cities. Currently, Mariana Katzarova is leading the UN Human Rights Mission in Eastern Ukraine.
