About The Event
For the fourth year in a row, Bangkok will rise!
Starting at Benjasiri Park, women, men and children eager to act for an end to gender based violence will gather and enjoy music, dance, participate in a capoeira workshop and create artwork as others do final rehearsals of the "Break the Chain" dance.
The group will do a 'practice round' dance at Benjasiri Park.
The afternoon will continue at Siam Square One or Emquartier (TBD) where the dance will be performed again 'flashmob-style'.

About The Organization
Bangkok Rising
Bangkok Rising is a volunteer organisation that holds biannual theatre, spoken word and poetry performances to raise money for local organisations in an effort to advocate for gender equality and an end to violence against women. For four years, Bangkok Rising has also participated in the global campaign One Billion Rising and held an annual event and flashmob dance for International Women's Day.
