About The Event
La Crosse Rises is a community committee that raises awareness about dating and domestic violence by being a part of the global campaign. We have been a part of the One Billion Rising movement since it began in 2013. There is one major event that is held on or near February 14 of each year at Valley View Mall in La Crosse. THIS YEAR in 2019 the event is on Saturday February 9th from noon-4pm. Our focus is on Teen Dating Violence and raising community awareness about the issue as well as the services, programs and clubs we have in our community. We will have a variety of informational booths, handouts, and of course a flash mob dance to "Break the Chain" along with other entertainment. There will be music, face painting and more!
2019 La Crosse Rises Committee consists of the following organizations: La Crosse Dance Centre, Essential Health Clinic, Valley View Mall and New Horizons Shelter and Outreach Centers.
