About The Event
Rise, dance and march at One Billion Rising at the Transylvania Farmers Market on 11am on April 9th. Join the global movement protesting the fact that one in three women will be raped or beaten in her lifetime. We will also be having three dance practices so people can join in the flash mob dance.
Ist dance practice: 3.21.16 at 5:30pm at the Brevard College Myers Dining Hall
2nd dance practice: 3.30.16 at 6:45pm at Hiro's Workshop at 40 Memory Lane, Brevard.
3rd dance practice: 4.5.16 at 11:35am at the Brevard High School Gymnasium.
If possible, wear the event's signature colors: hot pink, purple or red. You may also bring you own signs for the march, and any drummers or other musicians are encouraged to play. Bring your kids, bring your dogs, and stand up for justice!

About The Organization
SAFE, Inc. of Transylvania County
Founded in 1985, SAFE, Inc. has been providing safety and services to victims of domestic and sexual violence in Transylvania County for over thirty years. SAFE offers emergency shelter, a 24-hour hotline, help with protective orders, legal referrals, one-on-one and group counseling, life skills classes, violence prevention education in Transylvania County schools, and abuse prevention classes. SAFE also operates two thrift stores, SAFE’s Attic and Attic Interiors, to help fund its operations.
