NIA "RISE" FUNDRAISER JAM to Benefit the Rape Crisis Center of Central NM

Albuquerque Nia teachers Erin Damour and May Sagbakken, Executive Director of the RCCCNM, and fellow Albuquerque Nia teachers invite you to a fundraiser jam class organized in conjunction with One Billion Rising. One in three women on the planet will be raped or beaten in her lifetime. That is One Billion Women In 2013, one billion women and men shook the earth through dance to end violence against women and girls. This year, we are calling on women and men everywhere to harness their power and imagination to RISE for JUSTICE. Imagine, ONE BILLION WOMEN releasing their stories, dancing and speaking out at the places where they need justice, where they need an end to violence against women and girls. Entry is $2, anything above and beyond will be donated the Rape Crisis Center of Central New Mexico.

Erin Damour
Erin is a Black Belt certified Nia Technique Instructor. She has taught regularly since, and in 2010 earned both her Black Belt and Nia 5 Stages Certification. Trained in hatha yoga and bodywork (massage therapy, polarity, reflexology, shiatsu, postural alignment), Erin has a deep and playful curiosity of human anatomy and physiology, movement potential and health. And, she loves to share the Nia Technique with Any Body! Erin's philosophy is that movement is both our birthright, and a venue for fun, exploration, creativity, discovery and transformation.
