About The Event
March 1st from 7-11 Mouthymag will be throwing a gallery opening to celebrate the V-Day season. V-Day is a global activist movement to end violence against women and girls.
The art will be featuring all sorts of media and artistic styles under an over-arching theme of gender equality and peace.
The gallery will feature:
ART! -- think Lisa Frank meets Bikini Kill
SLUMBER PARTY STATION! -- friendship bracelet tutorial and manicures
PHOTOBOOTH! -- strike a pose w your bffz!
POEM STORE! -- Have a poem in your heart, let Jacqueline Suskin make it a written reality. Your subject, your price.
LIVE PERFORMANCES! -- Get mouthy with music and monologues.
BOOZE! -- get silly!
All proceeds will go to Children of the Night (http://www.childrenofthenight.org/) A non-profit that rescues child prostitutes.

We will be making a shrine of bad mamas to build the night of the opening! Please bring a photo of a woman who has influenced you, she can be famous, your neighbor, or your very own mama.
