About The Event
Event comprises of several activities:
- reading 'vagina facts' on institutional violence against women in front of the County Court and reading the demands of women's groups to address crimes committed against women with more efficiency and to assure better standards in victim protection;
- men will address the issue of violence, including President of Croatia, Mayor of the City of Zagreb and Ombudsperson for gender Equality, sportsmen and actors/singers at the central place of the event - Park Zrinjevac
-bands (including 2 LGBT bands) will worm up atmosphere for the flash mob 'Break the Chain' - led by rugby players and firemen
- OBR movie will be shown on the big screen
- we will let rise lampoons to symbolize RISE for justice at the end of program
About The Organization
Centre for Women's Studies Zagreb, Croatia with several other NGOs
Centre for Women's Studies is an independent educational center promoting feminist education and culture. The Centre has organised V-day events several times (TVM productions, including one with women with disabilities) including OBR last year - in cooperation with different women's groups and individuals. This year OBR has joined forces: Savez udruga osoba s invaliditetom SOIH, Zenska soba, Udruga sindikata biciklista, Cesi, Udruga Kamensko, Forum žena SDP-a Grada Zagreba, roda- roditelji u akciji and other groups and individuals.
