About The Event
Mahalapye is mobilizing junior and senior secondary school students as well as the community to march and perform to bring awareness around defilement of teenage girls. Mahalapye has high rates of teenage pregnancy and inter-generational sex. We will rise against rising teen pregnancy rates and HIV through drama, poetry and dance. There will be a performance of "Break the Chain." March starts at 1:30 pm and performances began at 2:30 pm.
About The Organization
District Multi-sectoral AIDS Committee
The District Multi-Sectoral AIDS Committee (DMSAC) is comprised of all Non-Governmental Organizations, Community-Based Organizations, and government departments responding to the HIV crisis in the region. The agencies provide services to the community, including youth programs, counseling, medication compliance programs, education, and more.
