Come get a meal (breakfast, lunch and/or dinner) and a massage, meditate and/or dance, maybe check out some Tai Chi, receive an acupuncture or Reiki session. Sit in the Red Tent and be supported to tell your story, or that of your mother, sister, lover, daughter, or ancestor. Survival stories. Love Stories.
Visit and add to the altar. Declare your intention around ending violence in 2014!
Then get some more love. Come together to chant, or start your own circle!
During your meals, hear spoken word artists, watch live-streaming video of women rising around the world, or get some info on the breadth and scope of violence against women here and around the world.
Then dance, chant, love some more!
Knowing that LOVE is the best healer for the violence in our lives Ashé hosts a LOVEFEST all day long

Ashé Cultural Arts Center
Ashé Cultural Arts Center, a project of Efforts of Grace, Inc., was established in 1998 by cofounders Carol Bebelle and Douglas Redd. It is an effort to combine the intentions of neighborhood and economic development with the awesome creative forces of community, culture and art to revive and reclaim a historically significant corridor in Central City New Orleans: Ashé uses art and culture for human and community development. Located in historic Central City on Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard, formerly known as Dryades Street, Ashé produces and sponsors cultural and community programs,original theater works, dance productions, spoken word, visual arts, conferences, workshops, events, and more.
