ONE IN THREE WOMEN ON THE PLANET WILL BE RAPED OR BEATEN IN HER LIFETIME....THAT IS ONE BILLION WOMEN.
In 2013, one billion women & men shook the earth through dance to end violence against women & girls. Kees Camp, along with representatives of the Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault, Hollaback & Sage all joined in their efforts to create a flash mob which took place at Valley West Mall. This year, we plan to come back 10 times as strong in numbers to RISE, RELEASE and DANCE for the same cause.
PLEASE JOIN US ON 14 FEBRUARY 2014! WE ARE CALLING ON WOMEN AND MEN EVERYWHERE TO HARNESS THEIR POWER AND IMAGINATION TO RISE FOR JUSTICE.
The downtown skywalks is where we will be dancing. A specific location will be determined in the next few weeks. Please check back here for those details by January 24th.
WHAT TO WEAR? Red or pink shirt of your choice.
'Rehearsals' will be available to anyone who'd like to learn it in person at Kees Camp Pole Fitness Studio at the end of the following Zumba classes offered at Kees Camp in West Des Moines:
Saturdays 9:40a - 9:50a
Mondays 6:20p - 6:30p
There is no charge if you are popping into the last 10minutes of class to rehearse in person, but if you want to come to the whole Zumba class for a great workout, class drop-in rate of $10 at the door for non-members will be applied.

I am a 40 year old successful business owner, 15 years married to my best friend and a mother of two teenagers. I have the privilege of dancing everyday and teaching others in my community to be strong, confident and live their best life possible!
