On February 13, 2015, 12:00-2:30pm on the Commons, JMU IS RISING! We rise on behalf of survivors of gender-based violence in the US and abroad. We rise to put an end to victim blaming and the culture of impunity that too often silences survivors. We rise to raise awareness of the intersecting forms of oppressions that perpetuate injustice. We rise to illustrate our collective power to BE THE CHANGE!

JMU Feminist Collective
The JMU Feminist Collective aims to open dialogue regarding the promotion of feminist issues within the Harrisonburg and JMU communities. We serve as the hub for feminist-related activism. We are multi-issue, multi-faceted and intersectional.
