This very special event will be held at the Marryshow House in St. George's. At the party, a series of short memorable films will be screened. Discussions on the films will be encouraged. Portraying the power, energy and solidarity of people demanding justice for all women and girls to end violence against them. The film shows us a unique event. Never before has there been such a global show of unity, passion and support for women's daring call to end abuse and violence. Mental and physical violence towards women knows no boundaries or borders. Statistics show 1 in 3 females, amounting to 1 billion world wide, will experience violence against them, it happens in every corner of our world and in every society, whether rich or poor. It was launched on 23rd April 1995 and registered under the companies Act of Grenada in 1996.

Groundation Grenada is a social action collective which focuses on the use of creative media to assess the needs of our communities, raise consciousness and act to create positive radical growth. Our mission is to provide active safe spaces to incubate new modes of resistance, building from the local to affect regional and international solidarity and change. We pursue our mission online, through our website and social media, and also through live events and special projects in collaboration with local, regional and international artists, activists and institutions. Groundation Grenada’s website supports both local and diasporic voices, acting as an interface to connect people who are hungry for innovative change.

Groundation Grenada was created in 2009 with the vision that Grenadian society is fertile for positive change, requiring simply the necessary seeds and by extension the seed sowers. Being properly nourished these seeds will eventually bear the fruit of individual and national consciousness and autonomy. This virtual platform represents the nexus of the sowers and the society; a meeting of the minds where ideas are not only sown and nurtured but also realized through positive collective action.
