About The Event
Beryl Motlhabani - also known as ‘Voice of Reason’- a South African female artist, has joined hands with British international celebrity George Michael, to partner with and support POWA in their worthy cause through the One More Cry Campaign (named after George Michael’s classic ONE MORE TRY). The objective is to raise awareness about and funds for POWA in two ways: proceeds from the sales of a music Download titled One More Cry, and proceeds from the gala dinner during which the single will be launched.
About The Organization
POWA (people opposing women abuse)
Established in 1979, POWA is a non-profit women’s rights organisation providing shelter services for victims of abuse (and their children where relevant), and quality woman-centred legal service. POWA also engages in National and Regional advocacy for the protection and promotion of women’s rights and advocates for legal reform, e.g. parliamentary law reform and strategic litigation.
