Flash Rally: Dance for Revolutionary Love

About The Event

We will gather on Park Central Square in Springfield, MO on Valentine's Day to show our solidarity with exploited women and girls worldwide by sharing music and dance. Local dancers and musicians are invited to perform songs and dances honoring all cultural and faith traditions. This event is sponsored by Nurturing Progress as part of Groundswell's Revolutionary Day of Love together with One Billion Rising. Events like this will be held worldwide on Valentine's Day.

About The Organization

Nurturing Progress

We work to nourish the progressive movement by:

* Focusing on strategies to help people with disabilities get involved and be included
* Mentoring all people who want to get involved but don't know how
* Assisting people to plug in to projects that fit their passions
* Providing self-care resources for when the going gets tough
* Writing commentary on social, racial, and economic justice topics
* Participating in direct activism and service in our community
* Representing the progressive Christian traditions of loving our neighbors, serving those less fortunate, and doing justice
* Doing all of the above with abundant and prayerful love, patience, respect, and humor
