I am a survivor! I am Rising! I am Breaking My Silence. Say "NO" to family secrets!!! Its not ok to stay quiet for the sake of the family and family name. Name and Shame is the Name of the Game!! I want to break down these so called cultural barriers I was brought up with! My innocence was taken away from me when I was just 5 years old! To make things worse I was told to be quiet. I was told "It was nothing". I was told "They are family". " What will people say"? So for almost a life time it remained a secret! Justice will prevail! Im ready to Rise! I have a voice and I will Speak Up not Shut Up!
In organizing this event I have liberated myself and the little girl inside. She is at last Breaking Free!!! I am going to make it my Mission to be a voice to be reckoned with and to help others speak up!!
