This dance is being held in solidarity with the One Billion Rising campaign to end the violence and exploitation of women everywhere.

Inviting you to create/express wild, radical dance moves that free and liberate the body- to move into defiance, joy, courage & empowerment... to embody and bring LIFE to freedom
Festive/flowing dress always welcome- and a bit of RED for this dance wouldn't go amiss (or YOUR power color)
This is a free-form conscious dance space, free of alcohol & shoes! We move to a wave of eclectic world music in a non-verbal, non-judgemental atmosphere. ALL welcome, no experience or partner necessary.

About The Organizer
Julia Lyn Waters
Julia has been facilitating conscious dance events for the past 11 years. During that time she has participated in community performances of The Vagina Monologues as well as an off shoot female performance project entitled STONE. She has a passion for sacred dance and the body as a vehicle and vessel for truth, expression & Self discovery. Julia invites you to explore your own limits & liberation on a monthly basis and hopes you will RISE UP and dance at this special event.
