About The Event
We will meet at Oddfellows Hall on Pencester Road at 10:30 and rehearse until 11. We will then march to Town Hall to perform four songs, ‘I am Woman’, ‘Something Inside So Strong’, ‘You’re the Voice’ and ‘Jo Cox’ a newly revised version of ‘Joe Hill’. We will repeat the performances once in the High Street and once in the Market Square. We will finish by 12:30.

I organised similar singing flash mob Risings in Deal and Whitstable in 2013. I am a singing teacher and choir leader with many years experience teaching in schools and special needs units. I have American and British dual citizenship. I am a lifelong feminist. I am an active member of my local Labour Party, and am grateful for the support of the local Labour Party Women’s Forum in organising this event.
