Chicago Rise 2015 @ Loyola

About The Event

This year, the Chicago-wide One Billion Rising will take place at Loyola University Chicago. We will be dancing and rising inside of the Damen Student Center Atrium with the OBR dance to Break the Chain and speakers from campus administrators and representatives from Rape Victim Advocates. The rally will followed by a celebration with poetry, spoken word, music, and stories-- performance spots are still available! Although this event its taking place at Loyola, it is open to the entire Chicago community--come one, come all as we RISE for REVOLUTION!

The Women's Project

The Women's Project is an new initiative at Loyola University Chicago with a goal to reimagine the roles of women and redefine society’s view of womanhood through the empowerment of women as leaders in the quest for social justice.

Taylor Tefft

Taylor has participated in OBR Chicago for the past two years and is so excited to be helping host the event at Loyola this year! She is in her last year of undergrad at Loyola University Chicago, studying Sociology, and hoping to work as a community organizer in the city of Chicago following graduation. OBR has made a huge impact in her life over the past two years and she invites everyone to come and experience the power and beauty of this global movement.
