We are a Bristol based group. Our 1 Billion Rising event is OPEN TO ALL GENDERS and AGES to walk, dance, drum, sing in support of the drive to STOP violence against women and girls. We hold monthly women only net working meetings normally at Hamilton House. Children are welcome, but boys under 12 only please. We provide a space for women to meet, drink tea, eat, network, sing, dance, share skills, form new friendships and find companions for trips, films and dancing antics. We hold bigger events which are open to all and are an inclusive and diverse group of women all ages and cultural backgrounds. The project is funded via Tribe of Doris and a quartet grant from Bristol City Council 2 years ago, we continue with kind donations and time from members of the group.
