About The Event
Calling all people who have felt broken down, who are ready to break the glass ceilings that confine us…
In honor of 1 Billion Rising and V-Day, the movement to end violence against women, we are uniting in solidarity through DANCE to gather our power to rise up again through our bodies and collective energy.
Jess Grippo, founder of You Can Dance Again, is leading a flashmob with her original, uplifting choreography to the Rachel Platten song “Broken Glass.”
In addition to rising and raising our collective power and energy, we will be raising funds for Groove With Me, a dance studio that offers free classes to girls in Harlem as a safe and enduring space for girls to express themselves and discover their capacities in a stable environment.
All people, all level of dance experience are welcomed.
Can't wait to dance with you!

About The Organizer
Jess Grippo
Jess Grippo is an award-winning dancer, writer, creativity coach, TEDx speaker, and the creator of You Can Dance Again. Although she went through 10 years of classical ballet training and received a B.A. from NYU in psychology, she left the more traditional dance and academic worlds to create her own career path. Her work is about guiding people back into dance: for self-reinvention, for reinvention of our world, and for reconnection to the power in our bodies. She enjoys making dance videos in the most random places, often with random strangers, as well as making shows on actual stages. She is currently writing her first book, Dance With This Book: A Guide to Start Dancing (And Living) On Your Terms. Join her Creative Fridays community for a weeklyish nudge (via email) for your creative soul: http://jessgrippo.com
