The Platform aims at contributing to the promotion of equality between women and men and to the defense of women's rights, including the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women, in particular in the context of the objectives, legislation, recommendations and guidelines which are relevant at the national, international and the European Union level. The Platform brings together member organisations, in their diversity, for the construction of synergies that, among others, allow and deepen reflection, debate, action and civic and social intervention, and create concrete conditions for the effective and sustainable participation in the political decision-making process, for defining public policies. The Platform also supports the exercise of the right to legal action, by action or omission, regarding the promotion of equality between women and men and the defense of women's rights, including the elimination of all forms of discrimination and violence against women and girls.
