About The Event

1 Billion Laughing is a night celebrating Women in Comedy to help raise money and awareness for Eve Ensler's campaign 1 Billion Raising. The night starts with Improv run by the amazing Shannon O'Niell ( The Chris Gethard Show), followed by Stand Up, Hosted by Peggy O'Leary ( Women in Comedy Festival, Boston) with Bonnie MacFarlane (Comedy Central Presents, Last Comic Standing), Nikki Glaser (MTV's Nikki & Sara Live, Comedy Central Presents), Leah Bonnema ( HuffPo's Favorite Female Comedians), Sabrina Jalees (Vh1's Best Week Ever), Carolyn Castigila (Comedy Central, VH1 and Sirius Satellite Radio) and many many more! The night will conclude with some amazing Musical Comedy Acts.

Peggy O'Leary

Peggy O'Leary is an actress, writer and filmmaker living in Queens, by way of the suburbs of Philly . She graduated from School of Visual Arts in Manhattan with a degree in Film and Video. She recently performed at The Women in Comedy Festival in Boston! Peggy runs a monthly Stand Up show at The Creek & The Cave in LIC, NY every second saturday of the moth called HARD, LONELY, & VICIOUS, she has a podcast about dating with the same name. She hear about 1 Billion Raising and needed to help out in any way she could, so why not put a comedy show on with some kick ass women! Besides everything listed here her real love is being an aunt to 13 nieces and nephews (11nieces) so yeah women are super important in her life!
