Rossana is a Director in the Financial Services Industry and for the last seventeen years, Rossana has been the Executive Producer for the New Voice Company – one of Asia’s leading theatre companies, based in the Philippines. In Financial Services, she advises and executes on strategic planning, product development and management. Rossana’s international experience covers Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. Born to Filipino parents in the US, Rossana grew up in Manila, Nepal, Thailand and Japan, and has worked and lived in the US, Hong Kong, Singapore and the UK. She has produced “The Vagina Monologues” all around the Philippines, Hong Kong and Singapore since 2000, as well as in Tokyo in 2003 and 2004. She has also produced major V-Day Philippine events since 2001, as well as ongoing V-Day events with migrant domestic workers in Hong Kong and London. Rossana has also produced Eve Ensler’s “The Good Body” in Manila, apart from producing an extensive list of political and feminist theatre productions in the Philippines, Singapore and Edinburgh for the last seventeen years. In 2013 Rossana organized OBR UK with over 220 events being held around the country, and produced the major London OBR event – “London Rising” with Eve Ensler, Thandie Newton and Anoushka Shankar at Café De Paris, as well coordinating OBR in the UK in 2014.
Recently she has also produced “The Vagina Monologues” as V-Day and OBR events in various financial institutions in the UK, Manila and Singapore. Rossana is also currently a board member of the Pangdemonium Theatre Company in Singapore.
Rossana has been a member of GABRIELA since 2000– a national alliance of Philippine grassroots women’s groups and the Philippines’ most radical and militant women’s movement. She was part of the first International League of People’s Struggles (ILPS) conference in Zutphen. Rossana took up Oriental Languages and Asian Studies in Rutgers University.
