My revolution is to continue to empower my strength through my work as an artist and writer, from the pain of being a child of molestation to rape as a young teen and again as a middle age mother of four children. I am not sure what you are requesting in my revolution , but after seeing the visual of so many of my sisters who have been victims of horrific atrocities, i felt the need to share my own plight of survival. And now at the age of 71 I am now ready to tell my whole and true story without reservations, fear or shame. I am no longer a victim, I am a strong survival who want to be of help to anyone who may need guidance or just a caring ear and to assure those who’ve had to endure the same fate, that they too can feel empowered to live through any circumstances and stand strong and take back your control. I find my refuge and strength in writing , keeping many journals throughout my growth. But most of all I find my true peace and joy in painting and sketching, putting my thoughts and even my spirit on canvas, and allow it to guide my hands with the pencil or the brush, that take me to a place of true peace.. I hope this will be helpful and may benefit someone, and I stand along side with the One Billion women who will know they are never alone..
