Women and men are the balance of the world–they represent the yin and yang of our existence. Life cannot go on without both. They do not need to fear each other. They need to work together, utilizing each others’ strengths, helping each other through their weaknesses, and respecting what each ‘brings to the table’ for the good of humanity. At this time our world is very yang. It is the reason there is so much aggression, indeed why aggression is celebrated and invested in. Compassion, caring, sharing, and beauty is reserved for ‘special moments’ in time and space, certainly not the norm. If we are to experience justice, that is balance in the world, we must respect one another and find our way back to the middle so that both yin and yang are equally represented in work, family, and our relationship to the world. We must understand that no one is anyone else’s property, nor is the earth our property to exploit and rape without conscience. In human relations, whether couples are married, engaged, or the child of their parents, we do not own one another, We are temporarily here to create a world where every man, woman and child can bring forth their best, and that only happens when they are free to be their best.
