About The Event
WHO: NMCADV and One Billion Rising NM have joined forces to coordinate a “CommUNITY Awareness Walk” – And we are inviting community organizations to stand as partners and asking the public to join us.
WHAT: An awareness walk starting at the Santa Fe Capitol Roundhouse, ending in the Santa Fe plaza, and commencing in a #RiseInSolidarity dance with One Billion Rising.
WHEN: February 14, 2017 – Valentine’s Day, starting at 11am
WHERE: New Mexico State Capitol “The Roundhouse”, 490 Old Santa Fe Trail, Santa Fe, NM 87501
HOW:
By joining us as a partner your organization’s name will be added to our announcement flyer as an ally and partner in the CommUNITY Walk.
We ask that as a partner you share the flyer/announcement widely by email, social media, printed hand out, etc.
We also ask you to rally as many program staff and community members as possible to attend the walk!
Please make and bring any signs and banners to the walk that celebrate your cause, empower others, and inspire change!

About The Organization
New Mexico Coalition Against Domestic Violence
Established in 1979 and incorporated on May 15, 1981, New Mexico Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NMCADV) has been working to achieve a coordinated local, regional, and statewide response to domestic violence.
The Coalition serves as a clearinghouse for information and referrals. We collaborate with agencies and advocates in the areas of program development, public policy, education and funding proposals.
