About The Event
We will be rising and demanding justice for our Egyptian women in Cairo this year. We're hosting our very own One Billion Rising for Justice event at Bikya Maadi, at the end of rd. 9 (just in front of McDonalds).
Featuring guest speakers, music, ground-breaking theatre pieces and more!
We will not resign our Egyptian sisters to a life of silence, shame and abuse; we are going to strike, dance, rise and demand justice for every oppressed woman and girl. Hope that you can join us.
About The Organizer
Sally Sampson (in association with UN Women)
Sally is an activist, a radio presenter, an actress, a singer and a writer. She believes that V-Day and all that it's about needs to sweep across Egypt like a tidal wave.
