The Center for Women’s Resources, GABRIELA-Youth UP Manila with the University of the Philippines (UP) Manila Department of Social Sciences gathered young women and men today in a forum-launch MOVE to MOB: Move to Mobilize Against Social Injustices at the NTTCHP OUR Auditorium, UP Manila. Move to Mob is a series of build-up activities for One Billion Rising on February 14 at UP Manila.
The students from the University of the Philippines Manila are RISING against:
1. Unequal laws for women
2. Discrimination towards women
3. Violence Against Women
4. Reproductive Rights
5. Government corruption that deprives women of basic social services
6. Budget cuts to health for women
7. Budget cuts to education – depriving girls of quality education
