Samarthyam held an event 6 December, 2015 to promote Accessgirl and raised awareness on reclaiming public spaces and streets to make these accessible and safe for girls and women with disabilities. The event celebrated the 16 Days of Activism and One Billion Rising.

Led by activist Anjlee Agarwal, Samarthyam has organised OBR events for women and girls with disabilities, and held a moving Rising event last year in New Delhi, India which was celebrated and captured in a film they produced to commemorate their amazing Rising.
